Instead of adding each dish or item by hand, you can now:

  1. Log in to your Merchant portal: surfboardmerchant.com

  2. Navigate to the Product page

  3. Click “Scan menu”

    1. Take a photo or upload an image of your menu

 

Our AI algorithm then analyzes the image and automatically creates products with:

  • Name and price

  • Description (if missing)

  • Generated product images

  • Categorization (e.g. Starters, Drinks, Desserts)

It all happens in seconds—you get to preview, fine‑tune, and save directly to your product library.

This feature is powered by a combination of Optical Character Recognition (OCR), natural language understanding, and image generation. We use AI to:

  • Identify and structure text on menus

  • Recognize pricing and product names in various formats

  • Generate visually appealing product images that match the content

  • Group products into logical categories

Everything runs automatically behind the scenes—with no need for technical know‑how. For you, it should feel effortless: upload an image, and your products are ready to sell.
